We are seeking a Mac Operator who will do assembly of computer elements to produce, process, and correctly output advertising for the Detroit Newspapers. This is a 19 hr. per week position. The pay rate is $13.04 per hr. It is an afternoon work shift, starting at 5:00 p.m. The position is based in Sterling Heights.
Completes advertisements or other material in computerized processes working with elements provided as part of operational processes.
Evaluates completed art work for adherence to guidelines and ensures quality standards have been met.
Is familiar with the overall operation of all ad room equipment, monitoring the performance to ensure its operation is in compliance with set specifications.
Evaluates materials provided for quality and accuracy and alerts supervisory staff to any possible errors or substandard material.
Requirements
Must be proficient on a MacIntosh computer using Multi-Ad Creator, Illustrator, Ad Speed, and Photoshop applications. Knowledge of Indesign a plus.
Must have eye for detail and possess good hand/eye coordination.
Knowledge/experience in commercial printing or related areas is desirable.
