Software Engineer

DCS Corp is looking for a Robotics SW Engineer to support development of next generation U.
S.
Army ground vehicle robotic platforms.
The successful candidate will design, develop, and integrate real-time embedded software for solider machine interface, autonomy, and drive-by-wire subsystems needed for U.
S.
Army ground vehicle autonomous mobility capability.
Essential Job Functions:
Design, develop C+
real-time embedded software in Qt environment, perform vehicle software integration and test.
Comply with project plans and cost, schedule, and performance milestones.
Work closely with customer and other suppliers to develop strong working relationships.
Travel up to 25% to perform vehicle SW integration and test at customer and government site.
Upgrade, maintain software once integrated on vehicle.
Develop and maintain any software related requirements, design, and testing documentation.
Prepare User Training Manuals.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.
S.
Citizenship is required.
Must have a BS in Engineering and software development experience.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
Extensive knowledge of C++.
Extensive knowledge of software development in MS Windows.
Experience designing and developing software targeted for large systems.
Desired Skills:
Experience developing real-time embedded software applications for Department of Defense (DoD).
Experience using common open-source libraries and tools, such as OGRE, Qt, and CMake.
Experience with ROS, Gazebo, and/or other robotics software.
Experience developing and maintaining open-source software.
Experience designing and developing user- and developer-friendly software systems.
Experience developing for embedded systems, Windows and/or OSX.
Experience with physics-based simulation software.
