Senior Software Project Lead with Security Clearance
Provide software leadership and support of ground vehicle projectsThe person filling this role will have the following
Responsibilities:
o Lead the software development effort for Ground Combat Vehicle projects.
o Ensure team meets project scope and objectives.
o Create and maintain Software Build Plan to communicate project scope with development teamo Work with Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) leads and program management to develop schedules and establish budgetso Develop cost and schedule estimates for new scope itemso Enter Earned Value Management System (EVMS) status for software taskso Assist with development and/or review of software documentation including Software Development Plan, Software Resource/Data Report, Software Requirement Specification, Software Design Description, Software Version Description, and related test documentationo Attend and participate in project related meetings with the project management team.
o Work with Systems Engineering to support system level requirements allocation and testing.
o Interface and coordinate with outside vendors for software support and deliverables.
o Identify, document and mitigate project risks items.
o Interface with Software Quality Assurance (SWQA) to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
o Assist with development of project metrics and measures.
o Prepare and submit status reports to management.
o Ensure all work conforms to software development process improvement and CMMI Level 5 initiativesPosition Requirements:
o Excellent leadership skills required.
o Minimum of 10 years related experience.
o Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
o Knowledge of CMMI is preferred.
o Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) is a pluso Excellent customer skills requiredo Previous experience with military vehicle software preferredo Excellent writing skills requiredo This position will require the applicant to be able to obtain US Security Clearnce.
o Must have Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or relatedOther technical degrees will be considered with related experience.
o Requires some limited travel (training/seminars/meetings)This role requires candidate to be onsite 90% of the time US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT:
