Hardware Simulation Integration Engineer with Security Clearance
Torch Technologies, a 100% Employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Hardware Simulation Integration Engineer with experience working with real time hardware in the loop simulations network synchronized software simulations that involve human-in-the-loop and constructive type simulations for ground vehiclesNecessary development skills include simulation development , software and hardware development, C++, and Unreal Engine Torch is seeking candidates with these qualities and experience that work well with a multidiscipline teamCandidate will work directly with customers su pporting the Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC) Candidate must be able to work in person daily at the Torch Michigan office located in Sterling Heights, MICandidate should be trustworthy, dependable, and self-motivated, eager to overcome challenges and solve problems.
Previous experience working within a DoD environment is a plus, but not requiredJob Requirements Qualified candidates will have direct experience with the following:
o Strong understanding for integrating complex software packages such as networking Unreal Engine with other distributed simulations.
o Strong understanding of how to perform quality software testing like unit testing.
o Proficient with physics Simulation type software packages.
o Proficient in software development, architectures, frameworks, prototyping and design.
o C+
with Unreal Engine, Object Oriented Programming, and memory managementQualified candidates will have an interest or experience in one of the following areas:
o Familiarity with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality synchronization and UX design.
o Background and knowledge of Ground Vehicles systems and subsystems and how to develop simulations for digital twins of them.
o Understanding of how to quantify and analyze results from Human-in-the-loop simulations.
o Strong background in developing and understanding Digital Engineering with tools like Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
o Unreal Engine understanding of replication, Blueprints.
o Experience with source control repositories such as Git and GitlabEducation and Experience Requirements:

S or greater in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or technical discipline is requiredRelevant graduate degrees will be given preference.
