Powertrain Controls Engineer

Description A Controls Engineer is needed for the design and development of control systems for powertrain, hybrid electric, thermal, and environmental system management.
Work responsibilities will include:
Develop System Specifications, Sub-System Specifications, and Statements of Work Troubleshooting powertrain and controls system issues Lead and Assist in the development of control systems Subcontract management of supplier developed control systems Subcontract management of supplier developed power generation components Present concepts and program status to functional and program management Compose technical reports Participate in Research and Development activities prepare technical information in support of project deliverables and management requests Support other engineering assignments as needed Performing failure analysis & be able to provide technical direction for corrective action solutions Required:
Engineering Degree Required (EE, ME, or relevant Engineering Degree); Masters Degree preferred 5
years of Powertrain engineering experience including 3 years of relevant Hybrid Electric or Electric Powertrain experience (PHEV, HEV, or EV) Experience in CANBUS preferred Experience in Electric Vehicle or Hybrid Electric preferred Experience in 3d Modeling software (CAD, VisMockup, Spaceclaim) preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required Must be a US citizen Self-starter, highly motivated, with demonstrated ability to work independently Must be able to work in office, shop, test lab and test site environments.
Recommended Skills Hybrid Powertrain Transmission Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
