Job Description:
o Perform all necessary assembly operations as required by specific area of assignment and as directed by supervision.
o Insure that proper elements are being used in production based on guidance from Line Leaders, review of Quality Audit Sheets and Area Supervision.
o Provide continuous quality monitoring of all elements being added into the assembly with particular attention being paid to visible defects and flaws or incorrect part numbers or part descriptions.
o Assignments will include reading part numbers, assembly of elements into kits, movement of materials around work area and lifting materials within specified limits.
Responsible for assuring that all completed kits are properly sealed (either mechanically or via ZIP lock process.
o Each Assembler is responsible for keeping his or her general work area neat and clean.
o Each Assembler is responsible for assuring any non-conforming production materials in their immediate work area are removed from the assembly area.
o Each Assembler is responsible for maintaining their operating efficiency to assist their work group in achieving production targets.
o Each Assembler may, from time to time as determined by their supervision, be reassigned to another area within their overall skill and ability levels.
o Occasionally, certain individuals may be requested to perform temporary fill-in service for a Line Leader or Packer.
(Temporary fill-in assignments do not alter the Assembler's official position or pay but do provide management with a better understanding of that individual's ability to move, longer term, to higher levels of responsibility.
) o Each Assembler is expected to understand their assignments and, if uncertain, request clarification of their supervision.
o Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
