FirePower Hardware Associate Engineer (Entry Level) with Security Clearance
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT This assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be US CitizensNO SUBCONTRACT REQUIREMENT No third-party applicants will be consideredIf you are a third party contracting company, please do not respond to this positionPosition Descriptiono Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and release system, subsystem assemblies and corresponding components, and provisions for various systems and subsystems mechanismso This department has a strong concentration in the field of gun/turret drives and race rings, a plethora of assorted weapon systems, its integration into various legacy and new platforms and design of its associated hardware.
o Ability to design articulating, locking, or sliding provisions to Human Factors requirementso Must possess CAD software experienceo Able to provide technical guidance with Design Services to create models, installation and detailed drawings and provide technical support for concurrent engineeringo Able to support procurement and on-site prototype build/integration activities and resolve issue(s)o Able to read technical drawings and perform tolerance stacks.
o Working knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
o Possess a working knowledge of FEA (ANSA, with Nastran and/or LS-DYNA solvers) is a plus Position Requirementso Required B.
Sin Mechanical Engineering.
o Self-starter, highly motivatedo Perform preliminary design and analysis derived from requirementso Work in an Integrated Product Team environment and be able to communicate across functional organizationso Performing failure analysis & be able to provide technical direction for corrective action solutionso Write technical reports & modification instructionso CAD modeling capability for generating feasible design conceptso A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is requiredo Must be able to work in office, shop, plant, test lab and test site environmentso Must be able to work overtime if requiredo Must be able to travel if required Recommended Skills Assembly And Installation Cad Corrective And Preventive Action (Capa) Engineering Design Process Ergonomics Failure Analysis Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
