Engineering Specialist - Mechanical Analysis with Security Clearance
Hybrid or onsite Onsite presence is required upon initial employmentA hybrid work arrangement can be considered when deemed appropriate by managementResponsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
o Perform system and sub-system level Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support vehicle design optimization.
o Analysis to be performed using the BetaCAE software suite including ANSA & META.
o Perform stress and dynamic calculations for impact, shock and vibration environments.
o Ability to perform fatigue analysis on structures and various components is a plus.
o Perform stress analysis on structures and appendages.
o Perform bolted joint analysis for joint sizing.
o Derive design load requirements for subsystems and mounting provisions.
o Prepare summary reports in accordance with internal department standards.
o Communicate project results to management and customers as required.
o Interface with design engineers throughout the development process.
o Perform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications / What you must haveo Minimum of 7 years relevant experienceo Degree requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineeringo Experience with the following analysis solvers:
Nastran, LS-Dyna and Optistructo Familiarity with the following analysis methodologies:
Static Acceleration, Modal & Direct Transients, Frequency Response Spectrum, Fatigue & Durabilityo Familiarity with the following:
Static Equivalent Acceleration, Modal Effective Mass & Bolted Joint Analysiso Must be able to manipulate geometry and construct FEA models using ANSA software.
o Must be familiar with using related software in Windows and Unix systemso Must have excellent communication skills and be able to clearly present results in front of an audienceo Must be able to prioritize workload and communicate with internal customerso Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including virtual meetingso Must be able to analysis assignments on schedule and within budget with minimal guidance Additional Informationo This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance(Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)o Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT:
