Job Description:
Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Information Systems Administrator to work from their Sterling Heights, MI facility.
Qualifications:
3-5 Year's of relevant experience and an undergraduate degree in Engineering/ IT related fields (or equivalent) is required.

Job Responsibilities and Position Requirements:
Candidate should possess a hands on IT technical background as well as an in-depth understanding of manufacturing execution applications and business processes.
General knowledge of ERP Systems Knowledge of Quality Information System (QIS) and manufacturing quality process Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill Intimate knowledge of Computer Aided Process Planning and Manufacturing Execution Systems Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools such as OBIEE or COGNOS Ability to analyze and diagnose the root cause of bugs or issues with software systems.
This goes beyond simply documenting trouble tickets.
Ability to solution a work-around and permanent technical solutions to address bugs and new business cases Write and understand queries written in Structured Query Language (SQL) Familiarity with Oracle RDBMS Ability to understand and author solutions using Java, SQL, JSP, MVC and others Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools such as OBIEE or COGNOS General Understanding of our plant capabilities The ability to support required Audits including:
Customer DCMA / DC nd Internal ISO and corporate audits Support proposal development on Manufacturing related IT solutions Support manufacturing and divisional process improvement initiatives Undergraduate degree in Engineering/ IT related fields (or equivalent) is required; additional graduate-level degree a plus Thrive in a flexible and ever changing manufacturing environment supporting a variety of products and process Ability to function in a team-based environment Comfortable briefing complex topics to high-level audiences, including top Leadership at our client Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a self-motivated environment Capable of frequent interface with all functional organizations and suppliers Established skills in technical leadership, project execution and conflict management with proven competency in effective problem solving and decision making Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to:
