00 PER HR The day shift Railcar Prep Associate prepares railcars to ensure readiness for loading operations.
This position entails a great deal of physical labor and requires some mechanical ability.
The successful candidate must be capable of working a physically demanding job and willing to work outdoors in all types of weather.
This position is responsible for the safe and quality handling of customer and company property Qualifications and Requirements Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed including weekends and holidays Strong preference for those with experience in manufacturing, manual labor or outdoor type positions in the past No prior rail industry experience necessary - training will be provided Must possess a valid driver's license and meet insurance requirements for coverage Successfully complete eRailSafe background and screening process (post-offer) Good communication skills Physical Requirements Must be able to lift minimum of 40 pounds over head Very frequent walking on potentially uneven surfaces Must be able to work in heights/possible tight spaces Walking, standing, climbing, squatting, bending, lifting, kneeling, etc.
